De Woid Petting zoo, Animal farm and Kids playground, Hoorn
Petting "DeWoid" in Horn is a nice petting zoo with many animals and a little summertime playground. A fun place for young and old. There are Cows, Donkeys, Mini horse, Pigs, Goats, Sheep, Rabbits, Guinea pigs, Degoes, Guinea fowl, Turkeys, Chickens, Geese, Peacocks (Pearl Peacock), The aquarium, Stick insects etc. They organize various events for children such as egg search (pleasant outing for the kids with 200 hidden eggs), sheep shearing, Bijendag, Christmas at The Woid and special programme during Santa Claus and the Easter celebration even for all ages.
Spring is coming. The birds are chirping happily meet you again. The crocuses bloom to your heart's content, and here and you'll see the daffodils bloom again. Volunteers are always welcome. They also maintaining animal shelter with proper care.
