In the Tourist Office Shop there is a lot of information about Hoorn and the area, but also about the the entire country. Ypu may visit VVV branch in the town you will be visiting. They have also other attractive offers and organise competitions to test your knowledge of the North Holland Peninsula. An interesting city walk through Medemblik is available at the VVV (tourist information office). The walk takes you not only past sightseeing highlights but also along the many historical buildings of Medemblik. Look:

The VVV online shop: 7 days a week, 24 hours a day
The VVV acts as the host of the region. In the majority of tourist centres our modern VVV shops or service shops offer an extensive range of regional products such as routes, maps, guides and usually local souvenirs.
Via e-shop you can order our Tourist Information Office's (VVV) products (in English language) online. Ordering articles is possible only for credit cardholders (Visa, American Express, Diners or Mastercard) and delivering take place within the European Union.
VVV Reservation Service
If you wish to secure accommodation or a group excursion please use the VVV Reservation Service. Employees are neutral and have an excellent knowledge of available accommodation in the region. When you book with the VVV you are choosing a reliable partner with years of invaluable experience. Ask them for hotel and transport or whatever you need.
If you are looking for group accommodation in a hotel, at bed and breakfast addresses or, for example, in a bungalow park the VVV knows which course to take. They will be happy to make you an offer. Mail our reservation department and indicate in what period and for how many people you are looking and what kind of accommodation you require. Ask them if they have any special offer.
